| Q. | Can I access UI wireless network from home? |
| A. | Our wireless network(s) can be accessed
in two locations: 1. UICDA administration building at 1000 W. Hubbard, Coeur d'Alene. 2. UI's Molstead classrooms located at 1000 W. Garden, Coeur d'Alene on the NIC Campus. |
| Q. | When do I have to check it in? |
| A. | Check-in is 8:30am, same location, the first Tuesday after checkout unless noted on website. |
| Q. | What happens if I'm late. |
| A. | You are charged $5 every half hour (or portion thereof) that you're late. |
| Q. | Can I save files on the machine? |
| A. | When you restart the machine, any changes to the machine are automatically removed. Save your files to removable media (floppy, CD, USB drive). |
| Q. | Can I just leave the machine running all the time? |
| A. | Sure, but it is critical to make sure the computer is off before placing it in an enclosed area like the backpack. |
| Q. | Can I check the computer in prior to Tuesday at 8:30am? |
| A. | Yes, by appointment only. Check luggage tag on backpack for contact information. |
| Q. | What happens if it gets stolen. |
| A. | Call the police and file a police report, then call UICDA. |
| Q. | Who can use the computer when it's checked out to me? |
| A. | You, only. |
| Q. | Can I print with the computer? |
| A. | Yes. The printer is located at our Harbor Center location in the computer lab. UI Print Policy |
| Q. | Can I check out the machine again next week? |
| A. | Yes, if available. Process: Check computer in at 8:30, people who did not check out a computer last week will have priority, then if one is available, you can check out a computer again. |
| Q. | What if I need tech support? |
| A. | Check luggage tag on backpack for contact information. |
| Q. | How do I clean the display panel (screen)? |
| A. | Do not clean the screen, they are easily damaged. If it's dirty when you check it in, UICDA staff will clean it. |
| Q. | Can I use the notebook outside? |
| A. | The notebook is designed to be used indoors. Be sure to store it indoors overnight. |
